Studies in Philippians “The Way to Walk in Humility”

Passage: Philippians 2:5-11

Bible Text: Philippians 2:5-11 | Speaker: Pastor Peter Kenniphaas | Series: Studies in Philippians | There are two types of hearts described in this passage. There is the rival heart that is deeply self-centred and is competitive with others. The rival heart is empty of glory and seeks desperately to fill this void by using people and things to achieve glory fullness. In contrast, is the rested heart that has been filled with the goodness and love of God, and seeks to serve and bless others. Heart renewal happens when we understand the mindset Jesus embraced for us during His incarnation which led Him to empty Himself of glory, and to humble Himself, and die on the cross for us. Knowing all that Jesus embraced for us fills us with the goodness and grace of God so that we can experience inner renewal and live the way Jesus lived.
