Passage: Philippians 1:12-18

The Apostle Paul writes about his trial in prison being chained to a palace guard 24/7. In addition to this hardship, the Apostle Paul was unable to continue his evangelistic ministry of reaching the lost and planting churches. There was also a group of antagonists that were undermining his reputation. Yet through all these trials the Apostle Paul never because depressed or discouraged, but was happy and hopeful. Through the Apostle Paul we learn how to triumph over our trials. He shows us that the key to triumphing in life is not the circumstances of our life, but what we make our life. Paul made Jesus his life, and this enabled Paul to develop a triumphal attitude through all his trials.
