The Glory of the Incarnation: Jesus is the Word of God
Bible Text: John 1:1-14 | Speaker: Pastor Peter Kenniphaas | Series: The Glory or the Incarnation | Christmas has always been associated with beauty. We see this with all the decorations that adorn our homes. The reason Christmas is associated with beauty is because it is connected to important and good things like family, friends, food and feasting, acts of kindness and charity, and the giving of gifts. The Bible wants us to understand that the connection between beauty and Christmas is greater than we can imagine because God has revealed His goodness and glory through His Son Jesus. The Apostle John expresses this idea by calling Jesus the logos or word of God. The glory of God is expressed through the logos of God by the fact that He was revealed to us, that He was rejected, and that He was received.
