God didn’t redeem us to live as isolated individuals, but He redeemed us to be a covenant community of people who view themselves as God’s family. Jesus invites us to address God as Abba Father, meaning all Christians are brothers and sisters. In Acts 2:42-47, we see the early church living out this reality by meeting regularly in small groups, living life together, serving and encouraging one another, and sharing with one another.
At Ferndale, while we believe in connecting big at our worship services each Sunday, we also believe it is important to connect small in small groups. Connecting small allows us to turn our chairs towards one another in friendship and fellowship as we support and encourage one another in our faith journey. Small groups allow us to know one another and to be known, to engage in real and authentic relationships. There is a wide range of small groups you can participate in throughout the week.
